Influenced by August Sander who sought to document the Germans of the 20th century through the individual types as shaped by their trade, traditions, economic experience and social position, this study is an attempt to create a sociological portrait of the contemporary Peruvian. Like Sander, I want to construct a registry of social types that stands as a document of a culture, a time and a place.
